The duo were featured together on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Music list in 2024.
Throughout his career, Keith received two Grammy award nominations, the first of which came in 2019 for Sicko Mode and the second in 2024 for his production on Drake and 21 Savage’s Rich Flex.
Born on September 20, 1996, in Memphis, Tennessee, Keith originally began his musical journey as a teenager by producing tracks and uploading them directly to YouTube.
In 2018 he achieved his mainstream breakthrough working with rapper BlocBoy JB, producing Rover, Shoot and the Drake-assisted hit single Look Alive.
In the same year, his credits went on to include Nonstop, Eminem’s Not Alike and Scott’s Sicko Mode.
Alongside Drake and Beyonce, he has also worked with numerous other artists, including Eminem, Future, Lil Nas X and Miley Cyrus.
His prolific career also spanned collaborations with Lil Nas X’s Holiday in 2020 and DJ Khaled’s 2021 I Did It.
He most recently produced Megan Thee Stallion’s 2024 album Megan, Jack Harlow’s single Just Us featuring Doja Cat and Travis Scott’s single 4×4, both of which were released in 2025.
Taking to Instagram, BlocBoy JB – who was one of Keith’s early collaborators – shared a photo of the pair with the caption: ‘Damn Cuz You Just Hurt Me Bad’ with a heartbroken emoji.
He also shared a log of phone calls between the pair and added: ‘We talked everyday yeen tell me you was leaving.’
Further tributes have been paid by Memphis music producer Hitkidd and Florida-based DJ and producer DJ Scheme.
British rappers AJ Tracey and Aitch, who worked with Keith on their 2020 hit Rain – which reached number three on the UK singles chart – also posted statements.
‘I don’t think it’s an overstatement to say he had a big impact on my career,’ he said.
Speaking in a 2020 interview with a university magazine, Keith discussed how he began his career while still studying at Middle Tennessee State University, where he received a degree in integrated studies and media management.
‘There wouldn’t be any point for me to come to college if I didn’t want to finish it — I could have just focused 100% on music,’ he said.
‘By my last week of college, I had my first No. 1 single, so it didn’t make any sense to drop out.’
