Ray J performs with blood streaming from eyes after claiming he has ‘months to live’

Ray J has sparked concern with his latest performance, appearing to have blood streaming from his eyes.

It comes after the American star, 45, said he was not expecting to live for more than a year, sharing on social media in late January that he was suffering from severe heart failure from heavy binge drinking and drug abuse.

He was also hospitalised in Las Vegas for pneumonia and heart pains at the start of the year and said he ‘almost died’ after first being treated for the serious lung infection in 2021.

Taking to the stage over the weekend for an intimate Valentine’s Day concert, the One Wish hitmaker’s current state didn’t go unnoticed by fans.

While in good spirits as he performed in Shreveport, Louisiana, handing out roses to the crowd, he wore sunglasses, with what looked to be blood pouring out underneath.

Footage quickly started circulating online, but it remains unclear whether it was, indeed, blood or an unusual choice of stage effect.

Again, it’s unknown what procedure or treatment he may have undergone, although it’s believed he may have had a heart monitor fitted.

Still, he had high energy, jumping off the stage to sing among the pit of fans.

In a clip filmed by a pal backstage afterwards, he also smiled at the camera and said he was ‘fine’, telling his friend not to ‘laugh at [him] for being sick’.

‘That’s not fair … don’t do that,’ he said.

@jacqueline.ames0 is ‘praying he’s ok’ and @tonyajohnsonford wrote: ‘He might just be putting on a front, and trying to live whatever life he has left to the fullest extent’.

Meanwhile, @tiffanyjames382 urged sceptics to ‘be kind’ and @itss.kj93 offered reassurance by saying the blood was likely ‘prop blood they use in a movie’.

In his previous video addressing his health, Ray J said ‘2027 is definitely a wrap for [him]’.

‘This is, like, done,’ he told fans on a livestream, gesturing to his heart, saying he was told he might need a pacemaker.

Ray J previously assumed he was ‘undestructible’, taking 10 Adderall a day. The medication is a prescription stimulant commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy.

He insisted, though, that he is ‘staying focused’ and trying to keep ‘on the right path’.

‘My health is not OK, so I thank everybody for supporting and praying for me through everything I’ve been in the hospital.’

In November, he added that ‘you have to have self-control’, because ‘if you have the option to make mistakes, and it works, the mistakes work, then you find yourself in a weird position because crashing out works.’
